Tierps Municipality
Background
Tierps municipality had a rather complicated phone environment,
where one half of the municipality remained with a very old
switchboard. The second half consisted of an older network-based
switchboard with an operator. Meanwhile the municipality had an
ambition to improve services to citizens with a Social Guide
through a Contact Center.
Solution
Caperio's telephony consultant helped the municipality through the
entire process from feasibility study and requirement specification
to the procurement and implementation.
Results
Thanks to the new modern switchboard, with routing system and
Contact Center with voice mail and spoken routing, the municipality
can now offer better service, and at the same time make financial
savings.
VINNOVA
Background
VINNOVA, The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, is
an authority that was spun off from NUTEK. In connection with this,
VINNOVA wanted an IT platform, which they could control, while
other authorities could be allowed to join. The common platform
would also support telephony among other functions.
Solution
The new telephony solution contains both fixed IP telephony and
mobile switchboard extensions. There are also support services
including routing system, voice mailboxes and operator
workstations.
Results
The staff at VINNOVA has now primarily mobile switchboard
extensions, which means that they can use the switchboard and
support systems wherever they are in Sweden. For maximum
cost-sharing VINNOVA's system is also used by two other
authorities.
