Background
Nacka Municipality Offices had many printers and copiers from
various different manufacturers. This led to high costs due to high
pressure on the IT department and the need for a large stock of
various consumables.
Solution
Caperio conducted a feasibility study to identify their current
situation and future needs. Nacka Municipality purchased the
service 'printing/copying'. We helped them to consolidate and
implement a highly standardized functional solution and gave them
also a FollowMe print solution to reduce the number of prints.
Results
Nacka Municipality now has a standardized environment with one make
of printer and six different models. From having had about 200
machines, they now have only 45. The number of invoices has been
reduced from approximately 550 per year to 5. The cost per employee
fell by around 2000 SEK per year for printing and copying. In
addition print security was increased while the environmental
impact was reduced.
Schering-Plough
Background
Schering-Plough had a mixed printer environment from two
manufacturers and a high volume of printing in color, which is very
expensive. Many documents were printed but never picked up,
resulting in unnecessary costs.
Solution
In combination with a move to new premises, Schering-Plough
purchased a solution that included a FollowMe print solution. They
received standardized equipment, consisting of one model from one
supplier.
Results
After one year the black and white volume dropped by 16% and color
volume by 35%. The IT department now has only one driver to handle,
the finance department gets only five invoices per year and
janitors need only have supplies for one machine on the shelf. All
this has resulted in enormous time and cost savings.
