Kumla Municipality
Background
Kumla municipality needed control over their networks and over what
connects into it. They also wanted a future-proof and scalable
network with high availability and performance.
Solution
Caperio implemented "Project Network Security" in Kumla
municipality. At Caperio we have a standardized method for network
security that is tailored to meet future demands for multi-service
applications. When the project was completed, a function for
port-based access control was installed based on the latest
standards.

Metsä Tissue
Background
Metsä Tissue had a wireless network that was complicated to
configure and administer because it lacked a central management
function. It was also not compatible with the new 802.11n standard.
At the same time, the organization's need for increased mobility
and higher performance was growing.
Solution
Caperio replaced the "stand-alone based" wireless network with a
modern wireless network from HP ProCurve, which supports the
802.11n standard among others. The new solution can be easily
managed and configured by the IT department in Mariestad and
implemented across Metsä Tissue's operations - from factories in
southern Sweden to sales offices in Copenhagen and Oslo.
Results
Metsä Tissue gained a modern and scalable wireless network with
high performance, while the centralized management feature now
means that it takes less time for installation and troubleshooting.
For Metsä Tissue, this solution also means increased mobility and
performance, increasing productivity for users.
