Scandic Hotels
Background
Scandic Hotels have a varied and obsolete client environment in the
North. This has resulted in high and difficult-to-control costs for
maintenance and service and also big problems with upgrading
software. The IT department also had to spend a lot of time on
service and support issues.
Solution
Caperio's solution for Scandic Hotels was a standard PC and
associated logistics services. When Scandic Hotels need further
computers, Caperio delivers a fully-configures PC directly to the
individual who needs it. Caperio also manages the exchange service
for all clients in the Nordic countries.
Results
Thanks to the standardized and consistent client platform, Scandic
could cut their IT costs. This was due partly to a reduction in
maintenance and service costs, and partly to the significantly
decreased demand for support and service.
Cathedral School
Background / problem
Cathedral School would like a proper student-PC concept that
encourages students to learn by using today's technology. The
solution should be smooth and flexible in terms of service,
insurance and software licensing, and should not affected the
school's management and IT staff to any large extent. Cathedral
School also needs help purchasing from the manufacturers.
Solution
Caperio has been contracted to procure and implement a
well-functioning Student-PC concept. Together with the Cathedral
School, we will develop a specific set of requirements and then
select the solution that best fits the school and pupils' needs and
preferences, taking care to minimize administration and management
for the school's IT department.
Results
Reviews will be ongoing whilst the project is being implemented and
it will be evaluated in more detail in the spring of 2011.
